IDC Renews Insight Enterprises Certification

International Data said that Insight Enterprises has had its Green Recycling and Asset Disposal for the Enterprise certification renewed.
According to a release, the recertification is based on a detailed analysis of the company’s capabilities and is valid until May 2011. During the recertification process, IDC found that Insight Enterprises had expanded its on-site drive crushing operation and on- site data erasure capabilities. In addition, the company streamlined its vendor line up and tightened its management of logistics and carrier partners. Insight Enterprises also received the E-Steward and ISO-18000 certification in 2009.
“Despite the challenges presented by a difficult economy, Insight Enterprises’ ITAD operation benefited from a rather busy period,” said David Daoud, research manager, Personal Systems at IDC. “The company continued to invest in its logistics and data security capabilities while also improving its customer engagement capabilities. These investments should serve the company well as enterprises move into a new refresh cycle, spurred by improving economic conditions.”
